Who we are
Hi! I’m Kevin. I am a psychotherapist dedicated to reducing stigma and strengthening human connection. I believe therapy offers a safe space to talk openly about difficult experiences — the more we bring them into the light, the less isolating they become. As a Black, male therapist, who also happens to see his own therapist I draw on my own experiences to connect with clients who may feel marginalized or hesitant about seeking support.
Since earning my Master’s from Hunter College, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, children, and families facing challenges including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, spousal issues, trauma and grief. My background also includes community organizing and non profit management efforts — from providing essential resources to families in-need to contributing to culturally responsive education efforts through activism. These experiences have reinforced empathy as my essential tool for understanding, communication, and growth.
In treatment, I see people — not diagnoses. I pay attention to the systems shaping their lives, such as family, work, school, and community, and support them in navigating both internal struggles and external barriers. I come with a wealth of clinical training and am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Therapy, Inner Child Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy, and Dream Interpretation/Analysis. I would love to connect with you for a free video consultation and explore how we can best support you.
